Now that you know what type of publications your references are, you can locate them.

To locate a book, book chapter, newspaper article or journal article, you need to search the QUT Library catalogue: http://libcat.qut.edu.au/.

There are several options for searching the catalogue:

To locate a book:

Search on the title, author or author and title.

The authors (Beauchamp & Bowie) and book title (Ethical theory and business) are identified in the reference: Beauchamp, T. L. & Bowie, N. E. (2004). Ethical theory and business. 7th ed. New York: Pearson Prentice Hall.

To locate a book chapter:

Search on the title or the editor/author of the book (not the chapter title or chapter author).

The book editor (Queensland University of Technology) and book title (Business law and ethics) are identified in the reference: Fisher, C. & Lovell, A. (2004). Ethical theories and how to use them. To locate a journal, newspaper or magazine article:

Search on the title of the journal, newspaper or magazine (not the article title or article author).
If the library holds the journal, newspaper or magazine, check that the library has the year or volume and issue that you require.
